Floor to chair trasnfer.
Remove your seatbelt and move out of your chair.
Reaching too far behind can cause you to slide off of the seat.
Place your chair upright with the footrests angled towards a side of your body.
When you first attempt a transfer from the floor the wheelchair seat it is easier if you use other things for support in between the floor and the chair.
Hold onto the chair at all times.
Once back on your chair check your skin more carefully.
Pick up your cushion and find a place to transfer out of the chair.
When you first attempt to transfer from the floor to the chair.
Keep your hands in front of your hips.
Swing your hand from the floor to the frame of the chair.
Sit on the cushion.
Work to get a knee up with the foot flat 8.
To begin the transfer joe tries to align his knees up with the center of his footplate.
Something like a couch can be used as a middle support device to allow you to easily transfer from the floor to the chair.
He then gets into a high kneel position pushing off the ground with one hand while the other hand is on his seat cushion.
Put your legs straight out in front of you.
Lift and push to slide your hips back.
